Iberdrola Mexico to donate 6 million pesos to the people of Oaxaca, the population hit hardest by the earthquake.

Iberdrola Mexico will donate $6 million pesos in aid to the people of the state of Oaxaca, whose population was the hardest hit by the 8.2 earthquake that occurred last week and has already resulted in over a hundred deaths.

Our company, which owns and operates four wind farms in the region, has already begun distributing aid in the form of packages of food and basic supplies in the city of Juchitán.

In collaboration with Mexican authorities, we are analysing the population’s most pressing needs, to continue our support in the coming days.

In line with our commitment to support the regions we operate in, Iberdrola Mexico is reinforcing our social action in the Tehuantepec Isthmus region, where we own and operate four wind farms with a combined capacity of 300 MW (Megawatts).
