Iberdrola México was recognized as an Exceptional Company for its social dividend

Iberdrola México received the Exceptional Practice Award granted by the Entrepreneurial Coordinating Council (CCE), Voz de las Empresas, and the Instituto para el Fomento a la Calidad for its Luces de Esperanza (Lights of Hope) project, which brings electricity to isolated rural communities through solar panels and batteries, and for its 5 Essentials + 1 program, a campaign designed to prevent occupational accidents.

Baja California III celebrates its fifth anniversary

Located in the City of Ensenada, Baja California, the “Baja California III” combined cycle power plant of Iberdrola México has been commercially operating for five years, during which time it has positioned itself as a benchmark in the energy industry thanks to its operation, which generates enough energy for 700,000 people, covering part of the demand for electricity of this northern state of Mexico, while at the same time taking care of the environment by monitoring its CO2 emissions.

Volunteering 2022: Iberdrola People in Mexico rolled up its sleeves

In 2022, the broad range of volunteer actions carried out by Iberdrola People in Mexico provided benefits for many people. Keeping the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in focus to guide our social and environmental actions at all times, we performed 124 activities in the different states we operate in, with the participation of 3,285 people, including company personnel as well as their relatives and members of partner institutions.

Iberdrola México wins the gold category in the Ibero-American award for Impulso STEM

The Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management (Fundibeq) granted the Golden Award to Best Practices on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to Iberdrola México for its Impulso STEM program, which since 2019 promotes the study of degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in Oaxaca, mainly among women.
