After having received more than 100 drawings made by girls and boys between 8 and 13 years old, natives of cities in Oaxaca and San Luis Potosí, it is time to recognize tomorrow’s artists. We thank those who participated in this first edition of the children’s drawing contest organized by Iberdrola México.

The International Day of Light declared by the Unesco, celebrates this May 16 the role of light in science, culture and art, education and sustainable development in diverse fields like medicine, communications and energy.

We are about to know the name of the winners of the first children’s drawing contest organized by Iberdrola México. The last day for receipt of drawings will be May 6, to give way to the selection of the best works.

It is very important for Iberdrola México to recognize the impact of individual efforts that have resulted in changes for many people. In the International Women’s Day, we rewarded five women who have stood out in the field of science and education and in the development of projects that have positively impacted their communities.

This year, at Iberdrola México we join the Children’s Day celebration by rewarding the talent of girls and boys in Oaxaca and San Luis Potosí, with the first drawing contest, in which they can participate with their best creations to win a laptop (first place), one tablet (second place) and a drawing kit (third place).

At Iberdrola México, we are aware of the role we play in addressing climate change, which is why we are making improvements to our processes and seeking alternatives to make our operations environmentally friendly and contribute to decarbonization.

Iberdrola México recognized two women from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec for their outstanding academic training and participation in several initiatives that benefit both their health centers and the community.

In 2022, the combined cycle power plant La Laguna II celebrates 17 years providing energy for 70% of the Laguna Region. Located in the municipality of Gómez Palacio, in the state of Durango, it is an example of responsible and efficient operation as well as every one of the 13 Iberdrola México’s power plants in the country.

At Iberdrola México we seek better professional opportunities for today’s students by boosting social actions and educational programs.
