Iberdrola México’s energy are its employees: the Iberdrola People. Besides a good work environment, we pursue a balance between the personal and working life of our employees by encouraging inclusion and equity values that are reflected both internally and externally.

In the last few years we, as a society, have made great progress in diversity and inclusion topics while at the same time we have had many opportunities to improve. At Iberdrola México we intend to play a more active role in social issues, both with our employees and with key players including customers, suppliers and communities, because we are certain that better solutions to combat inequality can be achieved by pooling the views of governments, businesses and organizations.

Obtaining and using green hydrogen is another route towards energy transition. At Iberdrola Mexico we know that foresight plays a crucial role when it comes to generating energy and taking care of the planet, and what better than to do this in a sustainable way?

October 24 marks the 76th anniversary of the creation the United Nations (UN), whose mission is to help resolve issues affecting the world in a peaceful manner. This is why the UN itself has set Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a roadmap that, in addition to the work of governments, includes society and companies such as Iberdrola Mexico, to work on addressing issues such as climate change and poverty.

Iberdrola Mexico’s social initiatives, Luces de Esperanza (Lights of Hope) and Impulso STEM (STEM Boost), were recognized today by the Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía A.C. (Mexican Center for Philanthropy) (Cemefi) and the Alianza por Responsabilidad Social Empresarial en México (Alliance for Business Social Responsibility in Mexico) (AliaRse).

We are excited to introduce the second generation of the Impulso STEM (STEM Boost). At Iberdrola México we are sure that quality education is crucial to build a better future. We trust that the young people that are now benefiting from this scholarship will become a benchmark in their communities and their state.

We celebrate this August 12 the International Youth Day, as declared by the United Nations (UN) since 1999 to promote young people’s participation in the processes of change, give voice to their actions and initiatives and thereby raise awareness about the challenges they face.

As part of our commitment to promote the training of young people, Fundación Iberdrola España, Fundación Iberdrola México and the Museo Nacional del Prado worked in concert so that a Mexican restorer could have the opportunity to gain knowledge and improve her technique at the Restoration Workshop given by the museum in Spain.
