At Iberdrola México, we have encouraged this channel to simplify the electronic processing and follow up of transactions for our suppliers participating in tenders.

IBuy, Iberdrola’s new purchasing platform

Since February 2020, Iberdrola México has implemented the new purchasing platform, IBuy, based on the cloud-based SAP- ARIBA cloud technology. This is an agile and secure system that eliminates having to send documents by mail. Additionally, this allows to create other contacts/users to take part in tenders.

In this section, we have significant information for our suppliers, which will help them register in this new platform and thus take part in future tenders.

For the time being, IBuy will coexist with the former tender platform, SRM. Nevertheless, we will continue to timely inform suppliers when they must switch the platform.

In order to bid in tenders, suppliers must register on SAP-ARIBA, and create a profile/user. Later, they can register in IBuy and manage tenders when invited to participate.

Registering on new platforms.

To participate in tenders, please:

  1. Register on Ariba Network: General data
  2. Register on IBUY
  3. Acceptance of the code of ethics
  4. Adhere to the principles of the Sustainable Development Policies
  5. Acceptance of personal data protection regulation (GDPR)

How does this new platform impact suppliers of Iberdrola México?

SRM, the former tender platform, will be gradually replaced by IBuy. Switching from one system to another is simple and we will always be guiding our suppliers.

First, the suppliers with whom we work will receive an e-mail with a customized link that will enable them to register on the IBuy platform. Previously, they will have to create a profile on SAP-ARIBA.

An essential prerequisite is to first create a profile on SAP-ARIBA. ARIBA is free except for additional services from ARIBA. Creating an ARIBA Network profile requires the provision of basic company data. With this profile you will receive a username and a password to access our IBuy tender platform.

Important notice: If any supplier is already registered on Ariba Network because they have other customers who use this tool, they will still have to register as a user on our IBuy.
