Mexico City, May 11, 2020.- Iberdrola México delivered eight ventilators and 600 thousand medical supply units, including surgical masks, KN95 respirators, and face protection shields, to the Mexico City Government to support the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
This aid is part of the support plan recently announced by Iberdrola México, which comprises the donation of over 30 million pesos in health supplies that have already started to be delivered to various institutions, mainly in the health sector, throughout the country.
“We are fully committed to Mexico and we want to support the country and face the pandemic challenges. Consequently, we are conducting an intense campaign to join our efforts to those of the public sector and deliver more medical supplies to health staff and workers performing essential activities,” Enrique Alba, Iberdrola México CEO, said.
This new aid to Mexico City adds to the delivery of 40 thousand surgical masks, N95 respirators, and protecting overalls to the Mexico City’s Electric Transportation Service and Civil Protection. Supplies will also be donated to the DIF in Mexico City.
Iberdrola has delivered more than 270 thousand medical supply units in various Mexican states, including Baja California, Coahuila, Durango, Querétaro, Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz, and San Luis Potosí.
The company has also distributed 1,500 packages with food and hygiene products to households in the Huasteca Potosina, San Luís Potosí, as well as 500 in Cuyoaco, Puebla. In the next few days, 2,500 food packages will be delivered in Guanajuato, Veracruz, and Oaxaca.
