Iberdrola México donates one ventilator and over 36,500 health supply units to the Veracruz Government

  • The company has also distributed 1,500 food packages to families in vulnerable communities in the state of Veracruz.
  • Iberdrola México has delivered a total of more than 1.2 million medical supply units across the country.

Xalapa, Veracruz, June 5, 2020.- Today, Iberdrola México delivered one ventilator and 36,500 medical supply units to the Secretariat of Economic and Port Development of Veracruz, totaling more than 178,000 units including masks, N95 respirators, face protection shields, and medical overalls donated to various Veracruz institutions  since the beginning of the COVID-19 contingency.

“I want to thank Iberdrola México for its generosity for this donation of 36,500 more special supply units to deal with the pandemic. Thank you very much to this great company that is committed to Mexico and to the people of Veracruz”, said Enrique Nachón, secretary of Economic and Port Development in Veracruz.

Furthermore, Iberdrola México has distributed 1,500 packages with food and hygiene products to vulnerable families in the state.

“We will continue to join efforts with Mexican and Veracruz authorities. We hope that this donation of a ventilator and medical supplies can help authorities tackle this pandemic. We are committed to Mexico”, Enrique Alba, Iberdrola México’s CEO, pointed out.

This aid is part of the support plan announced by Iberdrola México, which comprises a 60-million-peso investment to contribute during the COVID-19 contingency. More than 1.2 million medical supply units have already been delivered to several institutions, mainly in the health industry, throughout the country.

The company has also handed out 6,000 packages of food and hygiene products to vulnerable families in more than five Mexican states.
